I created YBY to share information and experiences that have helped move me one step at a time along the path to becoming the best version of myself.
During a conversation with a friend and a coach, she recently asked me to examine what I felt my core value’s where, in other words what truly motivated me to make the choices I have made and follow the path I am following.
This was not a new question, in fact I have explored this over the years several times, I think we all have.
The reason I am sharing it with you now is that although not a new question, it is the reason that YBY exists, because it is a question that was asked (again) at exactly the right moment in my life.
As I contemplated what was, and had been core in motivating me throughout my life, I reaffirmed what I have always known family, education, new experiences, knowledge, and connection with others.
I also made a conscious ‘discovery’ of another very important motivation, sharing. Acquiring knowledge is a basic need for me, but so is sharing what I have learned and experienced, which is the reason YBY was created.
You will find a collection of information that I have acquired thanks to the incredible and inspiring people, books, courses, I have connected to, spoken to, read, and followed, which will continue to grow, and my hope is that the information found in YBY may be of value to those that read it.
Thank you, to all my past, present and future teachers.

Aromatic natural substances comprised of natural chemical compounds produced by aromatic plants that are both volatile (evaporate at room temperature), and are liposoluble(dissolve in fats). Essential oils are distilled or cold pressed (citrus) from plant material(seeds, bark, stems, roots, leaves, flowers etc). Essential oils are a natural holistic tool that support the mind, body, emotions, and spirit.
Essential oils can be used in 3 ways: Aromatic, Topical, and Internal/Oral.
AROMATIC: Inhalation of essential oils is a powerful way to effect memory, hormones, and emotions through the olfactory system. It may also be a quick effective way to effect the sinuses, larynx, bronchial tubes, and lungs.
DIFFUSION is the easiest and simplest way of putting a fine mist of the whole oil into the air use a cool air or ultrasonoic nebulizing diffusor.
DIRECT INHALATION simply inhale directly from the bottle, or put 1-2 drops in palm of hands inhale.
CLOTH OR TISSUE add 1-3 drops of essential oil on a cloth, tissue, pillow case etc.
HOT WATER VAPOR add 1-3 drops of essential oil to hot water inhale the vapor (this is soothing but may loose some of the therapeutic properties due to heat)
TOPICAL: Topical application is the process of placing essential oils on the skin, hair, nails, mouth, teeth, or other mucus membranes of the body, because the oils are so potent it is best to use 1-3 drops at a time.
NEAT – the application of essentil oils directly on the body, without dilution.
DILUTION – often the essential oils are diluted with a carrier oil before application.
CARRIER OIL – any pure vegetable oil (fractionated coconut oil, almond oil, jojoba oil, etc)
The FEET are the fastest area of the body to absord essential oils due to the skin pore size, other quick absorption area’s are behind the ears and the wrists.
*All essential oils must always be diluted for children, and people with sensitive skin, or when covering large area’s of the body. It is also recommended to do a patch test before applying essential oils topically.
INTERNAL/ORAL : Essential oils may be taken sublingual, in capsules, in water or other beverages, and used in cooking.
*It is important to note that ONLY certified therepeutic grade essential oils may be ingested, and not all essential oils are used internally.
